Mitsuru Izumo
Founder
Mitsuru founded Euglena Co., Ltd in 2005, a company that has succeeded in the world’s first outdoor mass cultivation of microalgae Euglena for consumption. He is currently serving as President and Representative Director.
Prior to founding Euglena, Mitsuru joined the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Ltd. Mitsuru was selected as the Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum (Davos Forum), and was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award at the 1st Nippon Venture Awards.
Mitsuru graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Agriculture.
