【RTHD Singapore】Real Tech Singapore Awards Alterno at TECH PLANTER Vietnam 2023

Real Tech Singapore Pte. Ltd, a venture capital firm specializing in deep-tech startups across sectors in Southeast Asia, had the privilege of being a part of the judging panel at TECH PLANTER Vietnam 2023, held on 8th July 2023. Out of the 8 finalists, the Real Tech Singapore Award was presented to Alterno for their groundbreaking work in developing sand batteries that have the potential to revolutionize the agricultural drying industry through advanced thermal energy storage technology.

Jury member Kumamoto, Director of Real Tech Singapore, commented on the reasons that led to the awarding of the Realtech Award to Alterrno.:

“Alterno’s passion for solving the energy issue, especially in light of the Vietnam gasoline crisis, was commendable. Their deep understanding of the challenges and commitment to making a meaningful impact were evident. Despite requiring substantial capital and intricate technology implementation, I’m confident they will swiftly develop their first prototype to embark on their deep tech journey and would be more than happy to support them throughout.”

The TECH PLANTER event, organized by Leave a Nest Phiippines, the event featured eight finalists and three lightning teams who took to the stage to pitch their innovative technologies to solve deep issues in Vietnam. The event sparked vibrant discussions on strengthening the integration between Japan and Southeast Asia in the tech sphere.
